Racers love to see themselves on their bikes, pushing their own limits to the max, on epic trails, in beautiful places. You love to take pictures and like the challenge of adding unique and stunning new photos to your portfolio... I think we can have a win/win here! All we ask is that you put the pictures of the racers up on our Facebook page for our participants to view them. Then if you want to sell your prints or high resolution files to interested buyers, go for it.

MDH 100 Aid Station Volunteers
If you want to be a part of the crew that keeps the race participants going this is your best option. Job description ranges from pouring water, scooping ice, handing out food supplies, keeping track of race numbers that have come and gone, and lending a helping hand with whatever else racers and Aid Station leaders might need help with.
Aid Station #1 open from 6am to noon MDT
Aid Station #2 open from 6am to 6pm MDT
Aid Station #3 open from 6am to 11pm MDT
MDH 100 Checkpoint Volunteers
If you like to be all by yourself in the middle of the beautiful ND badlands with your vehicle, a cooler, a radio, and your picnic basket then this is for you! You will be responsible to check off racer's numbers as they pass by you on the way, way, way back roads, that intersect the Maah Daah Hey trail. We will stock you with water for the racers and you will be a point of contact for them if they need to report any emergencies, which you will report to us. Your checkpoint will be a location that racers can be picked up by their support vehicle if they need to drop out of the race.

MDH 100 Course Sweepers
If you are a reliable mountain biker who knows the Maah Daah Hey trail well, but don't want to race it this year... WE NEED YOU! Your job is to clear the course behind the race participants and let the checkpoint and aid station volunteers know the trail is cleared behind you. If there is an emergency on the trail you will report it and help guide EMT's the right spot. You need to be able to ride at a minimum 5.8 mph average. You will get a FREE registration into the following year's MDH100 for your efforts!
First 25 miles (Starting line to Aid #1)
Second 25 miles (Aid #1 to Aid #2)
Third 25 miles (Aid #2 to Aid #3)
Last 25 miles (Aid #3 to Finish line)
Equestrians
Yes... we like you, we like your horses, and need volunteers like you on horseback! Most horse riders try to avoid the trail on days when there is heavy mountain bike traffic, but we have a few equestrians who love to be out on the trail during the race to help keep the racers safe and taken care of. One of the most popular spots for you is at the Little Missouri River Crossing, but there are many places you can be with your horse to add to the safety and the fun atmosphere of the race... pick one if you and your horse can handle being around a bunch of mountain bikers for at least one day!
I want to be stationed on the trail somewhere
I want to be on call to help with any emergency rescues that may arise
I want to be at an Aid Station or Checkpoint
